Step One: Nomination
As a sponsoring organization, you may nominate up to three candidates for consideration for one position in the Carol Emmott Fellowship program. Each candidate must meet all of the nomination criteria and eligibility requirements. We ask that you confirm each candidate’s interest in participating in the program prior to submitting any information to the Fellowship.
All nomination information must be emailed to Felisa Contreras, Operations Manager no later than May 15, 2017. To request a nomination form or for more details on how to sponsor a woman leader in your organization, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
To nominate a candidate for the Carol Emmott Fellowship program, submit the following three items:
The nomination form, which includes:
The candidate’s contact information: name, degree(s), title, organization, address, email, and phone
The nominator's name, title, organization, contact information, and relationship to the candidate
The name, title, and contact information of the organization champion* if different than the nominator
A 2-5 sentence description of the nominee's idea for an impact project
A one-page letter of recommendation from the organization champion* which includes the candidate’s track record of successful leadership and why she would be ideal for the Fellowship program
The candidate’s resume
* The organization champion, oftentimes the nominator, has senior executive authority within the fellow’s organization and acts as a liaison with other areas of the institution. He/she serves as a link to the strategic direction of the organization. The organization champion will help provide resources and overcome barriers on behalf of the fellow during the program year.
